About Monster-Cages

Monster Cages was developed by Matt Martin, a Retic breeder experienced with strong, heavy-bodied, adult Reticulated and Burmese Pythons. Tired of not being able to find affordable, heavy-duty, large snake cages that met the needs of his monster snakes and were still manageable, Matt decided to "do it himself". He found excellent strength in 1/4 inch Polypropylene, an FDA approved petroleum industry by-product. In addition to strength, polypro is resistant to abrasion and the brittleness caused by aging and direct sunlight. Read more about polypro here.

To expand the line, Matt joined forces with Ed Jenkinson, a snake and reptile breeder with over thirty years experience with snakes, tortoises, and lizards, both small and large.
